STUDIO 4
Matt Braun1

Matthew Braun — Oil on Canvas

Artist Bio: I’m in the process of making what I hope to be an immersive artificial world. I’m very much inspired by accounts of nineteenth century mass entertainment trends such as panoramas, dioramas, and even some of the gargantuan stage sets found in both dramatic theater and stage magic. The pictures I’m working on are very wide, spanning multiple canvases, and are painted from the observation of theatric sets I’ve built.
