Visit Local Studios and Meet the Artists! It’s going to be a fun tour this year! Our area always boasts an eclectic mix of artwork — paintings in several media, jewelry, sculpture in many forms, pottery, mixed media & photography. This is your opportunity to meet the interesting collection of characters who create these works during the Eighth Annual Lakes Area Studio Hop. Our local artists will open their studios and creative spaces to the public on Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17, 2012. The Studio Hop is an opportunity to tour artists’ workshops, visit with the artists and view demonstrations. Many different artists will be featured at several sites during this free event.
Savor a Tasty Treat! Enjoy complimentary refreshments and goodies along the way.
Register to Win Prizes! Pick up a punch card at your first studio visit, then get it stamped at each studio and leave it with your last stop to be entered in a prize drawing. Stamp 7 studios for your chance to enter a drawing for $50 and 12 studios for $100. Door prizes are also offered at some individual studios.
